English Translation
Ibn Abi 'Adi narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There will come to you people who are more tender-hearted than you." Then the Ash'ariyyun came, and among them was Abu Musa al-Ash'ari. When they approached Madinah, they began chanting: "Tomorrow we meet the beloved ones, Muhammad and his party." When they arrived, they began shaking hands with the people, and they were the first to introduce the handshake.
