حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ بَعَثَتْ مَعِي أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ بِمِكْتَلٍ فِيهِ رُطَبٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ أَجِدْهُ وَخَرَجَ قَرِيبًا إِلَى مَوْلًى لَهُ دَعَاهُ صَنَعَ لَهُ طَعَامًا قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَأْكُلُ فَدَعَانِي لِآكُلَ مَعَهُ ق
َالَ وَصَنَعَ لَهُ ثَرِيدًا بِلَحْمٍ وَقَرْعٍ قَالَ وَإِذَا هُوَ يُعْجِبُهُ الْقَرْعُ قَالَ فَجَعَلْتُ أَجْمَعُهُ وَأُدْنِيهِ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَلَمَّا طَعِمَ رَجَعَ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ قَالَ وَوَضَعْتُ الْمِكْتَلَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ قَالَ فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ وَيَقْسِمُ حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ آخِرِهِ

English Translation
Ibn Abi 'Adiyy narrated from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: Umm Sulaym sent me with a basket of dates to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I did not find him, and he had gone out nearby to a freed slave of his who had invited him and prepared food for him. He invited the people, and the food and dates were brought. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate, and the people ate, then the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and prayed. He said: 'O Umm Sulaym, I prayed in your house.' Then he supplicated for her with every good.
