حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الز
ُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ آخِرُ نَظْرَةٍ نَظَرْتُهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ كَشَفَ السِّتَارَةَ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ كَأَنَّهُ وَرَقَةُ مُصْحَفٍ فَأَرَادَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يَتَحَرَّكُوا فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ اثْبُتُوا وَيَلْقَى السَّجْفَ وَتُوُفِّيَ فِي آخِرِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
Sufyan narrated from al-Zuhri, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: The last glance I had of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on Monday. He drew aside the curtain while the people were behind Abu Bakr in prayer, and I looked at his face as if it were a page of the Mushaf. The people were about to move in their prayer, but he gestured to them to continue, and he let the curtain fall. He passed away that same day.
