حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَبَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّام
ٌ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ الْمَعْنَى عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ الْمُؤْمِنَ حَسَنَةً يُعْطَى عَلَيْهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَيُثَابُ عَلَيْهَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَأَمَّا الْكَافِرُ فَيُعْطِيهِ حَسَنَاتِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى إِذَا أَفْضَى إِلَى الْآخِرَةِ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ يُعْطَى بِهَا خَيْرًا

English Translation
Yazid informed us from Hammam ibn Yahya, from Qatadah — and Bahz narrated from Hammam who said: Qatadah informed us, the meaning being the same — from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah will gather the people on the Day of Resurrection and they will be concerned about that' — or he said: 'they will be inspired to say' — 'If only we could seek intercession with our Lord so that He would relieve us from this place.' They will go to Adam...' and he mentioned the long hadith of intercession.
