Hadith #298

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ عِتْبَانَ اشْتَكَى عَيْنَهُ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ مَا أَصَابَهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَ صَلِّ فِي بَيْتِي حَتَّى أَتَّخِذَهُ مُصَلًّى قَالَ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَأَصْحَابُهُ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَجَعَلُوا يَذْكُرُونَ مَا يَلْقَوْنَ مِنْ الْمُنَافِقِينَ فَأَس
ْنَدُوا عُظْمَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ دُخَيْشَمٍ فَانْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ بَلَى وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَلَنْ تَطْعَمَهُ النَّارُ أَوْ قَالَ لَنْ يَدْخُلَ النَّارَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Bahz narrated to us: Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us: Thabit narrated to us from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that 'Itban complained of his eyesight. He sent word to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned what had befallen him, saying: 'O Messenger of Allah, come to me and pray in my house so that I may take it as a place of prayer.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and prayed in his house. He asked: 'Where would you like me to pray in your house?' Anas said: So he prayed where 'Itban wanted, and then he sat and the people sat with him.
