English Translation
Isma'il narrated from Ayyub, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a sermon and said: 'Zayd took the banner and was struck down. Then Ja'far took it and was struck down. Then 'Abdullah ibn Rawahah took it and was struck down.' His eyes were shedding tears. 'Then one of Allah's swords took it, and Allah granted him victory' — meaning Khalid ibn al-Walid.
