حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَ

عَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ فَأَرْسَلَهُ مَعَهُمْ فَقَالَ هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ

English Translation

Hasan narrated to us: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'Send with us a man to teach us.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took hold of the hand of Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah (رضي الله عنه) and said: 'This is the trustee of this Ummah.'
