English Translation
Yunus narrated to us: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us from 'Abd al-Rahman al-Asamm, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ sent to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) a jubbah (garment) of sundus (thin silk). 'Umar said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you sent it to me and you have said about silk what you have said?' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'I did not send it to you for you to wear it. Sell it and benefit from its price.'
