Hadith #410

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يَلْعَبُ مَعَ الْغِلْمَانِ فَأَخَذَهُ فَصَرَعَهُ وَشَقَّ عَنْ قَلْبِهِ فَاسْتَخْرَجَ الْقَلْبَ ثُمَّ شَقَّ الْقَلْبَ فَاسْتَخْرَجَ مِنْهُ عَلَقَةً فَقَالَ هَذِهِ حَظُّ الشَّيْطَانِ مِنْكَ
قَالَ فَغَسَلَهُ فِي طَسْتٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ مِنْ مَاءِ زَمْزَمَ ثُمَّ لَأَمَهُ ثُمَّ أَعَادَهُ فِي مَكَانِهِ قَالَ وَجَاءَ الْغِلْمَانُ يَسْعَوْنَ إِلَى أُمِّهِ يَعْنِي ظِئْرَهُ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا قَدْ قُتِلَ قَالَ فَاسْتَقْبَلُوهُ وَهُوَ مُنْتَقِعُ اللَّوْنِ قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَكُنْتُ أَرَى أَثَرَ الْمِخْيَطِ فِي صَدْرِهِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Hasan narrated to us: Hammad narrated to us: Thabit al-Bunani informed us from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — Jibril (عليه السلام) came to him while he was playing with the boys. He took him, laid him down, and split open his chest. He extracted the heart and extracted from it a clot of blood and said: 'This is the portion of Shaytan from you.' Then he washed it in a gold basin with Zamzam water and restored it to its place. The boys ran to his mother — meaning his wet nurse — and said: 'Muhammad has been killed!' They came to find him pale. Anas said: 'I used to see the mark of the stitching on his chest.'
