English Translation
Abd al-Samad narrated to us, my father narrated to me, Sinan narrated to us, Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a branch and shook it, but it did not shed its leaves. Then he shook it again, but it did not shed. Then he shook it a third time and it shed. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah), Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), and La ilaha illallah (There is no deity but Allah), and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) — they cause sins to fall away just as a tree sheds its leaves.'
