حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا عَنْ ظُرُوفِ النَّبِيذِ فَقَ
الَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّا زُفِّتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَالَ وَقَالَ لِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُوَ الْمُقَيَّرُ

English Translation
Aswad ibn 'Amir narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from al-Mukhtar ibn Fulful, who said: I asked Anas (رضي الله عنه) about the vessels for nabidh (date drink). He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited anything that is coated with pitch. He also said: the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'O Anas, do not drink anything from vessels coated with pitch or gourds.' — Zuhayr added: I think he also mentioned clay vessels.
