حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَبُو وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا سِنَانُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْنَةٌ لِي كَذَا وَكَذَ
ا ذَكَرَتْ مِنْ حُسْنِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا فَآثَرْتُكَ بِهَا فَقَالَ قَدْ قَبِلْتُهَا فَلَمْ تَزَلْ تَمْدَحُهَا حَتَّى ذَكَرَتْ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَصْدَعْ وَلَمْ تَشْتَكِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ قَالَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِي ابْنَتِكِ

English Translation
'Abdullah ibn Bakr Abu Wahb narrated to us, Sinan ibn Rabi'ah narrated to us, from al-Hadrami, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), that a woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have a daughter — such and such' — mentioning her beauty. He said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I have no need for women today.' A man near her said: 'O Messenger of Allah, marry her to me.' He said: 'What do you have?' He said: 'I have nothing.' He said: 'Bring her even a ring of iron.' Then when he could not find anything, the Prophet ﷺ married her to him for what he had memorized of the Quran.
