Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ وَمُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ غَلَا السِّعْرُ
عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ سَعَّرْتَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْخَالِقُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ الرَّازِقُ الْمُسَعِّرُ وَإِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَلْقَى اللَّهَ وَلَا يَطْلُبُنِي أَحَدٌ بِمَظْلَمَةٍ ظَلَمْتُهَا إِيَّاهُ فِي دَمٍ وَلَا مَالٍ

English Translation
Surayj and Mu'ammal narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Qatadah and Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: Prices rose during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, set prices for us.' He said: 'Indeed Allah is the One Who sets prices, withholds, gives abundantly, and provides. I hope that when I meet my Lord, none of you will have a claim against me for an injustice regarding blood or wealth.'
