English Translation

Haytham ibn Kharijah narrated to us, Rishdin ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Walid, from Abu Hafs, who narrated to him that he heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) saying: the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The parable of the scholars on earth is like the stars in the sky — they are guided by in the darkness of land and sea. When the stars are extinguished, the guides are about to go astray.'
