حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ خِرِّيتٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو لَبِيدٍ لُمَازَةُ بْنُ زَبَّارٍ قَالَ أُرْسِلَتْ الْخَيْلُ زَمَنَ الْحَجَّاجِ فَقُلْنَا لَوْ أَتَيْنَا الرِّهَانَ قَالَ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لَوْ أَتَيْنَا إِلَى أَنَسِ بْ
نِ مَالِكٍ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ هَلْ كُنْتُمْ تُرَاهِنُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ لَقَدْ رَاهَنَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ لَهُ يُقَالُ لَهُ سُبْحَةُ فَسَبَقَ النَّاسَ فَهَشَّ لِذَلِكَ وَأَعْجَبَهُ

English Translation
Abu Kamil narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Zayd narrated to us, al-Zubayr ibn Khirrit narrated to us, Abu Labid Lumazah ibn Zabbar narrated to us, he said: Horses were released during the time of al-Hajjaj, so we said: 'Let us go to the racing.' We went to it, then we said: 'Let us go to Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه).' We came to him and he was on his estate. We said: 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ race horses?' He said: 'Yes.' We said: 'Did he race camels?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a she-camel called al-'Adba' that was never outrun — or was rarely outrun. A Bedouin came on a young camel and raced her, and the Bedouin's camel won. That was hard on the Muslims. the Prophet ﷺ said: It is a right upon Allah that nothing in this world is raised except that He lowers it.'
