English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه): The people of Makkah asked the Prophet ﷺ for a sign. The moon split in Makkah twice. Then he recited: {The Hour has drawn near and the moon has split. And if they see a sign, they turn away and say: Passing magic.} [Quran 54:1-2]
