Hadith #90
English Translation
Isma'il informed us from Ayyub, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a sermon and said: 'Zayd took the banner and was struck down. Then Ja'far took it and was struck down. Then 'Abdullah ibn Rawahah took it and was struck down. Then a sword from the swords of Allah took it, and Allah opened the way for them' — meaning Khalid ibn al-Walid. His eyes were shedding tears.
