English Translation

Waki' narrated from Shu'bah, from Hisham ibn Zayd who said: I heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) saying: We startled a rabbit at Marr al-Zahran. The boys chased it until they were exhausted. I caught it and brought it to Abu Talhah. He slaughtered it and sent its haunch — or he said its two haunches — to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he accepted it.
