Hadith #114
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ شَكَ
وْنَا إِلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ مَا نَلْقَى مِنْ الْحَجَّاجِ فَقَالَ اصْبِرُوا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ عَامٌ أَوْ يَوْمٌ إِلَّا الَّذِي بَعْدَهُ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ حَتَّى تَلْقَوْا رَبَّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Zubayr, meaning Ibn 'Adi, who said: We complained to Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) about what we suffered from al-Hajjaj. He said: 'Be patient, for no year or day comes upon you except that the one after it will be worse than it, until you meet your Lord. I heard this from your Prophet ﷺ.'
