حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسًا حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ ال
لَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ وَقَالَ يَحْيَى مَرَّةً مِنْ الدُّعَاءِ إِلَّا فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, Ibn Abi 'Arubah narrated to us, from Qatadah, that Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated to them saying: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not raise his hands in any of his supplications — Yahya once said: in supplication — except in the prayer for rain, in which he would raise his hands until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.
