حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَسْقِي أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ وَأُبَيَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ وَسُهَيْلَ ابْنَ بَيْضَاءَ وَنَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عِنْدَ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ وَأَنَا أَسْقِيهِمْ حَتَّى كَادَ الشَّرَابُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ فِيهِمْ ف
َأَتَى آتٍ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَقَالَ أَوَمَا شَعَرْتُمْ أَنَّ الْخَمْرَ قَدْ حُرِّمَتْ فَمَا قَالُوا حَتَّى نَنْظُرَ وَنَسْأَلَ فَقَالُوا يَا أَنَسُ اكْفِ مَا بَقِيَ فِي إِنَائِكَ قَالَ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا عَادُوا فِيهَا وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا التَّمْرُ وَالْبُسْرُ وَهِيَ خَمْرُهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ

English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, Humayd narrated to us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: I was serving drinks to Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah, Ubayy ibn Ka'b, Suhayl ibn Bayda', and a group of the Companions at Abu Talhah's home. I was serving them until the drink began to affect them. Then a crier of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came announcing the prohibition of wine. So they poured it out and did not drink another drop.
