حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعَ بُكَاءَ صَبِيٍّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَخَفَّفَ فَظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ خَفَّفَ مِنْ أَجْلِ أُمِّهِ رَحْمَةً لِلصَّبِيِّ
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ heard a child crying during the prayer, so he shortened it. We thought he shortened it out of mercy for the child's mother.
