English Translation

Isma'il narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Yazid informed us, he said: I said to Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه): 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ begin the recitation with Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim or with Al-hamdu lillahi Rabb al-'Alamin?' He said: 'You ask me about something that I do not remember, and I have not been asked about it by anyone before you.'
