Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أَسِيرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِنَهَرٍ حَافَّتَاهُ قِبَابُ الدُّرِّ الْمُ

جَوَّفِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ قَالَ هَذَا الْكَوْثَرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاكَ رَبُّكَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ فَضَرَبْتُ بِيَدِي فَإِذَا طِينُهُ مِسْكٌ أَذْفَرُ وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ الْمُجَوَّفُ

English Translation

Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated: the Prophet ﷺ said: "I was taken to a river in Paradise whose banks were domes of hollow pearl. I said: 'What is this, O Jibril?' He said: 'This is al-Kawthar which your Lord has given you.' Then he struck it with his hand and its mud was the most fragrant musk."
