حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَرَوْحٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّ

ى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُوَاصِلُوا فَقِيلَ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِي

English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Rawh narrated to us, they said: Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not practice wisal (continuous fasting without breaking).' They said: 'But you practice wisal, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'I am not like any of you. My Lord feeds me and gives me drink.'
