حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى يُقَالَ قَدْ صَامَ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى يُقَالَ قَدْ أَفْطَرَ

English Translation

Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated: the Prophet ﷺ would fast until it was said: 'He has fasted [continuously],' and he would break his fast until it was said: 'He has broken his fast [and stopped fasting].'
