حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّام

ٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ نَجْرَانِيٌّ غَلِيظُ الْحَاشِيَةِ وَأَعْرَابِيٌّ يَسْأَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى بَعْضِ حُجَرِهِ فَجَذَبَهُ جَذْبَةً حَتَّى انْشَقَّ الْبُرْدُ وَحَتَّى تَغَيَّبَتْ حَاشِيَتُهُ فِي عُنُقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ مِنْ تَغْيِيرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ أَمَرَ لَهُ بِشَيْءٍ فَأُعْطِيَهُ

English Translation

Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated: I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ and he was wearing a Najrani cloak with a rough edge. A Bedouin came up to him, grabbed him forcefully by his cloak, and I could see the mark of the edge of the cloak on the side of his neck from the force of the pull. The Bedouin said: "O Muhammad, give me from the wealth of Allah that you have." the Prophet ﷺ turned to him, laughed, and ordered that he be given something.
