حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ حَيَّةٌ ثُمَّ يَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى العَوَالِى فَيَأْتِيهَا وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ
English Translation
Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated: the Prophet ﷺ used to pray 'Asr while the sun was still bright and high. Then a person could go to al-'Awali [the outskirts of Madinah] and arrive there while the sun was still high.
