حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْ
حَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي نَعَامَةَ الْحَنَفِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ لَا يَقْرَءُونَ يَعْنِي لَا يَجْهَرُونَ

English Translation
Abdullah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha', from Abu Na'amah al-Hanafi, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and Umar (رضي الله عنهما) would not recite — meaning they would not recite aloud — 'In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful' at the beginning of the prayer.
