حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ ابْنُ أَخِي حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ قَالَ ذَهَبْتُ مَعَ حُمَيْدٍ إِلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَايَعَهُ النَّاسُ أَوْ كُنَّا إِذَا بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُلَقِّنُنَا أَنْ يَقُولَ لَنَا فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ قَالَ أَبِي لَيْسَ هُوَ حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ

English Translation
Abu Sa'id narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Ja'far ibn Ma'bad narrated to us — the nephew of Humayd ibn Abdullah al-Himyari — who said: I went with Humayd to Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), and he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the Zuhr prayer when the sun had passed its zenith, and the Asr when the sun was still white and high. Then he would go to Quba and arrive there while the sun was still high.
