Hadith #55
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْخُلُ الْخَلَاءَ فَأَحْمِلُ أَنَا وَغُلَامٌ نَحْوِي إِدَاوَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ وَعَنَزَةً فَيَسْتَنْجِي بِالْمَاءِ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Ata' ibn Abi Maymunah, that he heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) say: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would enter the privy, a boy of my age and I would carry a small water vessel and a staff for him, and he would cleanse himself with the water.
