Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبْتَاعُ وَكَانَ فِي عُقْدَتِهِ يَعْنِي عَقْلَهُ ضَعْفٌ فَأَتَى أَهْلُهُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ
احْجُرْ عَلَى فُلَانٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَبْتَاعُ وَفِي عُقْدَتِهِ ضَعْفٌ فَدَعَاهُ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَهَاهُ عَنْ الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَا أَصْبِرُ عَنْ الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ كُنْتَ غَيْرَ تَارِكٍ الْبَيْعَ فَقُلْ هُوَ هَا وَلَا خِلَابَةَ وَلَا هَا لَا خِلَابَةَ

English Translation
Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, Sa'id informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه): A man during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to engage in transactions, but there was a weakness in his mind. His family came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, restrain him.' So the Prophet ﷺ called him and forbade him from making transactions. He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I cannot endure being without trade.' So the Prophet ﷺ said, 'When you buy, say: there is no deception (la khilabah).'
