حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُوَاصِلُوا قَالُوا فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ فَإِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي

English Translation
Ja'far ibn Awn narrated to us, he said Mis'ar informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do not practice wisal (continuous fasting without breaking).' They said, 'But you practice wisal.' He said, 'I am not like any of you. I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me drink.'
