English Translation
Ali narrated to us, Ubaydullah ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, he said I heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) saying: A rabbit was startled, and the people chased it. I was among the first to catch it. I brought it to Abu Talhah (رضي الله عنه), who ordered it slaughtered and sent its haunches — or thighs — to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he accepted them.
