حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ سَعِيد

ٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعَةُ نَفَرٍ كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ

English Translation

Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: Four people collected (memorized) the entire Quran during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, all of them from the Ansar: Ubayy ibn Ka'b, Mu'adh ibn Jabal, Zayd ibn Thabit, and Abu Zayd (رضي الله عنهم).
