Hadith #178
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَاذَانَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ الْمُؤَذِّنَ أَوْ بِلَالًا كَانَ يُقِيمُ فَيَدْخُلُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَسْتَقْبِلُهُ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْحَاجَةِ فَيَقُومُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى تَخْفِقَ عَامَّتُهُمْ رُءُوسُهُمْ
English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, 'Umarah — meaning Ibn Zadhan — narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the mu'adhdhin — or Bilal — used to give the iqamah, and the Prophet ﷺ would enter the mosque and a man would meet him about a need, and the Prophet ﷺ would stand with him until he dozed off, and then he would come to his prayer.
