English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad informed us, Thabit informed us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who recited this verse: 'Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar' [108:1]. He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I was given al-Kawthar, and it is a river that flows in Paradise. Its soil is musk, its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Birds with necks like the necks of sacrificial camels come to drink from it.' 'Umar said: 'Those are indeed comfortable birds, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'The ones who eat them are even more comfortable.'
