حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْ

أَنْصَارِ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَجِدُونَ أَثَرَةً شَدِيدَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنِّي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ قَالُوا سَنَصْبِرُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَأَخْفَاهُ وَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ

English Translation

Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, he said Yunus informed us, from az-Zuhri who said: Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) informed me, he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Ansar: 'You will find after me selfishness and preferential treatment (given to others over you), so be patient until you meet me at the Hawd (Pool).'
