حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُغِيرُ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ فَكَانَ يَسْتَمِعُ فَإِنْ سَمِعَ أَذَانًا أَمْسَكَ وَإِلَّا
أَغَارَ فَاسْتَمَعَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَسَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ فَقَالَ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَقَالَ خَرَجْتَ مِنْ النَّارِ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Thabit informed us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to attack at the time of the Fajr prayer. He would listen, and if he heard the adhan, he would hold back; otherwise, he would attack.
