‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سَعِيدٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏قَتَادَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَنَسٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ‏ ‏وَعُمَرَ ‏ ‏وَعُثْمَانَ ‏ ‏كَانُوا ‏ ‏يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ ‏ { ‏الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ‏}

English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and 'Uthman used to open the prayer with 'All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.'
