Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي بَعْضُ مَنْ لَا أَتَّهِمُهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
وَبِلَالٌ يَمْشِيَانِ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا بِلَالُ هَلْ تَسْمَعُ مَا أَسْمَعُ قَالَ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَسْمَعُهُ قَالَ أَلَا تَسْمَعُ أَهْلَ هَذِهِ الْقُبُورِ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَعْنِي قُبُورَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Surayj narrated to us, Fulayh narrated to us, from Hilal ibn Ali, from Anas ibn Malik who said: Some of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ whom I do not suspect informed me that he ﷺ said: "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was delivering a sermon on Friday, a man stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the livestock have perished and the roads are cut off, so pray to Allah to send us rain.' He ﷺ raised his hands and supplicated, and the sky poured rain."
