حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَائِلٌ فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ ف
َوَحَشَ بِهَا ثُمَّ جَاءَ سَائِلٌ آخَرُ فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ فَقَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ تَمْرَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْجَارِيَةِ اذْهَبِي إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَأَعْطِيهِ الْأَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا الَّتِي عِنْدَهَا

English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Umarah ibn Zadhan narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas who said: A beggar came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he ordered that he be given a date. The beggar threw it aside in disdain. Then another beggar came, and he ordered that he be given a date, and that one said: 'SubhanAllah! A date from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ!' So the Prophet ﷺ ordered that he be given a heap of dates and said: "I feared that he might be burned by the Fire for casting aside a date given from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
