حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ أُتِيَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ بِرَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ رَضِيَ الل
َّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ فَجُعِلَ فِي طَسْتٍ فَجَعَلَ يَنْكُتُ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ فِي حُسْنِهِ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ أَنَسٌ إِنَّهُ كَانَ أَشْبَهَهُمْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ مَخْضُوبًا بِالْوَسْمَةِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Husayn narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from Muhammad, from Anas who said: The head of al-Husayn (رضي الله عنه) was brought to Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad and placed in a basin. He began poking at it with a stick and said something about his beauty. Anas said: "He was the most resembling of people to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. His hair was dyed with wasmah (a dark plant dye)."
