حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ أَنَّهُمْ سَأَلُوا أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَكَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمٌ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ع
ِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى كَادَ يَذْهَبُ شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلُّوا وَنَامُوا وَإِنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمْ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ وَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Thabit informed us that they asked Anas ibn Malik: 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ have a ring?' He said: 'Yes.' Then he said: One night, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the Isha prayer until midnight, then he turned to us after he prayed and said: "The people have prayed and gone to sleep, but you have been in prayer as long as you waited for it." Anas said: It is as if I can see the glitter of his ring.
