حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ قَالَ أَنَسٌ مَا أَعْرِفُ فِيكُمْ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا كُنْتُ أَعْهَدُهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ قَوْلَكُمْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّه
ُ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ حِينَ تَغْرُبُ الشَّمْسُ أَفَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَقَالَ عَلَى أَنِّي لَمْ أَرَ زَمَانًا خَيْرًا لِعَامِلٍ مِنْ زَمَانِكُمْ هَذَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ زَمَانًا مَعَ نَبِيٍّ

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, Anas said: I do not recognize among you today anything that I knew during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, except your saying 'La ilaha illallah.' I said: 'O Abu Hamzah, [even] the prayer?' He said: 'You have made the prayer at times it was not [meant to be]. Have you not seen what your rulers have done to it?'
