Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنْ فَارِسِيًّا كَانَ جَارًا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَتْ مَرَقَتُهُ أَطْيَبَ شَيْءٍ رِيحًا فَجَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ هَكَذَا وَصَفَ حَمَّادٌ بِيَدِهِ أَيْ تَعَالَ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ وَعَائِشَةُ مَعِي يُومِئُ إِيمَاءً فَقَالَ ال
رَّجُلُ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا وَوَصَفَ حَمَّادٌ أَيْ لَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَكَذَا أَيْ لَا قَالَ ثُمَّ عَادَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ تَعَالَ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا يَقُولُ كَذَا وَيَقُولُ كَذَا وَصَفَ حَمَّادٌ أَيْ لَا وَيَقُولُ ذَا أَيْ لَا فَقَالَ هَكَذَا أَيْ قُومَا فَذَهَبَا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas ibn Malik that a Persian man was a neighbor of the Prophet ﷺ and his broth had the most pleasant aroma. One day he came to the Prophet ﷺ and invited him. the Prophet ﷺ said: "And this one?" referring to A'ishah. The Persian said: 'No.' the Prophet ﷺ said: "And this one?" He said: 'No.' the Prophet ﷺ declined. Then the Persian came again and invited him. the Prophet ﷺ again said: "And this one?" He said: 'Yes.' So they both went to his house.
