حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى

بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ } حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ شَكَّ فِي عُثْمَانَ

English Translation

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Hisham informed me, from Qatadah, from Anas that the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to begin the recitation with 'Al-hamdu lillahi Rabbil-Alamin' (All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds).
