Hadith #58
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ غُلَامًا مِنْ الْيَهُودِ كَانَ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرِضَ فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ وَهُوَ بِالْمَوْتِ فَدَعَاهُ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَنَظَرَ الْغُلَامُ إِلَى أَبِيهِ وَهُوَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُوهُ أَطِعْ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ فَأَسْلَمَ ثُمَّ مَاتَ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْقَذَهُ بِي مِنْ النَّارِ

English Translation
Yunus narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit — and I do not know it except from Anas (رضي الله عنه) — that a Jewish boy who used to serve the Prophet ﷺ fell ill. the Prophet ﷺ came to visit him and sat by his head and said, 'Accept Islam.' The boy looked at his father who was nearby, and his father said, 'Obey Abu al-Qasim ﷺ.' So the boy accepted Islam. the Prophet ﷺ left saying, 'Praise be to Allah who saved him from the Fire.'
