حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ أَنْبَأَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَ

سَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ وَيُسَمِّي وَيُكَبِّرُ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَذْبَحُهُمَا بِيَدِهِ وَاضِعًا عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا قَدَمَهُ

English Translation

Hashim narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Qatadah informed me, he said I heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه). I said, 'Did you hear it yourself?' He said, 'Yes.' He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sacrifice two salt-and-pepper colored, horned rams. He would say 'Bismillah, Allahu Akbar,' place his foot on their sides, and slaughter them with his own hand.
