Hadith #85

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فَذَكَرَ شَيْئًا مِنْ التَّفْسِيرِ قَالَ قَوْلُهُ { يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلْ امْتَ
لَأْتِ } قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَزَالُ جَهَنَّمُ تَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيدٍ حَتَّى يَضَعَ فِيهَا رَبُّ الْعِزَّةِ قَدَمَهُ فَتَقُولُ قَطْ قَطْ وَعِزَّتِكَ وَيُزْوَى بَعْضُهَا إِلَى بَعْضٍ

English Translation
Yunus narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah — and he mentioned something from the tafsir — he said regarding Allah's saying, 'On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?"' [Qaf 50:30]: Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated to us that the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Fire will continue to have (people) thrown into it and it will say, "Are there any more?" until the Lord of Might places His Foot in it, and it will fold upon itself and say, "Enough, enough, by Your Might and Generosity." And there will remain extra space in Paradise until Allah creates new creatures and settles them in the remaining space of Paradise.'
